Research is becoming increasing concernedFlora Spring Reviewwith the number of people who tend to store their excess fat in the abdominal area. A recent study has confirmed however that not all fat is created equal.

In the non abdominal areas the size of the fat cell remains fairly consistent and they stay close to the skin. It is this number of cells and their distance from major body elements that is thought to be a good thing as far as long term health is concerned.

However in the abdominal area the reverse is true, the fat tends to develop larger cells and they are present far deeper into and around the major organs. This it is believed is one of the major contributing factors to the onset of type II diabetes and other metabolic problems.

Therefore to reduce both types of fat to safe levels a long term strategy is required, one that contains balanced eating, total body exercise for aerobic and specific muscle training combined with alterations to our normal body positioning.
